We all love free stamps, don’t we? I thought I’d share a card I made using two free stamp sets that I received recently. Crafting Forever was an adorable set that I received in Amsterdam at a fancy dinner for demonstrator leaders. I immediately fell in love with the set.
Using Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the background pen image. Because I was making dozens of these cards to send out to customers and my team, I wanted something simple that didn’t require watercoloring. By stamping on the cardstock using the same color ink, it creates a nice, subtle background. The Crafting Forever stamp set is the new “Angel Policy” stamp set. If you make and sell finished projects using Stampin’ Up!’s copyrighted images, you are required to stamp the Stampin’ Up! copyright on the back. And there’s one in this set. I anticipate I’ll use this set for a variety of occasions over the next few years!
If you look closely at the Early Espresso Banner, I also stamped a floral image in Early Espresso because I thought a plain banner was boring. That floral image comes from the new Wood Words stamp set.
Wood Words is a stamp set I got to choose for a reason I’m not allowed to talk about. Ha ha! How’s that for an explanation? Throughout the year Stampin’ Up! reaches out to demonstrators for a variety of reasons. I was lucky enough to be invited to the home office last month to participate in a focus group. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. And, free stamps were their way of saying thanks for participating. Because I needed to “cash in” by the end of April, I chose the priciest stamp set out the special assortment of products from the new Annual Catalog.
If you follow me on Facebook, you may recognize some of the images in the Wood Words stamp set. I shared the photo below earlier in the week on my Facebook page. Silly me actually assembled the little wooden crate in Amsterdam not thinking it would get smooshed in my bag. So, forgive the wrinkles. I also didn’t even attempt to bring it home in my suitcase but I made sure to snap some photos before I left!
Speaking of which…have you seen the Retired List? A handful of items have already sold out, so I don’t want you to miss out on picking up some of your favorites. Click here to download the Excel version. Or, click here to download the PDF.
